What made me this way...

Sparks consists of 2 brothers, Ron and Russell Mael, with an ever-changing cast of side-players (rumor has it that they are a bit "difficult" to get along with...)

Pop icons in their own minds, they may never top this trilogy of albums from the 70's.  The tunes are decent pop music, but it's the lyrics that make Sparks Sparks.  Absolutely smug and downright hilarious in the most off-beat way, a typical theme is that of a suicide pact gone awry ("Up Here in Heaven Without You").

"Talent Is An Asset", concerning a young genius named Albert, is a perfect pop song all around.
