Miles Davis produced
some incredible albums throughout the 1970's. My favorites were "On the
Corner" and "Live-Evil".
Featuring some of the greatest jazz players of the era, they were really all about "rock", not "jazz". Every musician was given room to move; some of the songs spanned more than a single lp side. These were apocolyptic jam sessions. Of particular note are John McLaughlin's electric guitar contributions, which were often somewhat frenzied, but as always tasteful and under control.
